Fabrikr (패브리커)

패브리커(Fabrikr)는 김동규, 김성조로 이루어진 아티스트 그룹이다. 

단일 오브제부터 공간 전체를 아우르는 설치작품까지 장르에 국한되지 않는 폭넓은 작업 스펙트럼을 보여주고 있다. 

이들에게 단일 오브제란 거대한 공간의 축소판이며, 거대한 공간은 단일 오브제의 확장이다. 

패브리커는 장르와 규모, 디자인과 예술의 경계를 오가며 사물이나 공간, 대상을 새롭게 보고 재해석한다. 

대상의 내재한 맥락과 물성을 파악하고 새로운 관점으로 대상을 탐구하는 것, 그리고 자신들의 조형적 언어로 표현하는 것이 이들의 작업이다. 

 

패브리커는 작품 초기부터 선택받지 못한 소재들을 낯선 방식으로 가공하는 등 관점의 전환을 통해 대상의 가치를 전복시키는 작업을 진행해 왔다. 

이는 남다른 관점으로 대상을 바라보는 작업관을 바탕으로 한다. 

작품을 통해 더 많은 이들에게 영감을 전하는 것. 그것이 패브리커가 생각하는 작업의 방향이자 목표이다.

 

​​Duo design craft group Fabrikr

meaning persons who manufacture with fabric - reinterprets fabric, and produce concept of combining design and crafts along with interior products with rare forms. By our reinterpretation of resources thrown away recklessly, we would like to send a message to many people about how they could be used with value and specialty by means of our creation activity and projects.

We create our work in purpose of realizing greater art and beauty as we are not satisfied with the way people usually see furniture. We bring a life to mere fabric by creatively reinterpreting visual, tactual effects of infinite color senses and various textures of the material. In other words, the work that we make is the gathering of advantages of some fabric, which is created by us who push ourselves to get as much as we could from the fabric. The work will feel oriental and unique with continuous layers of fabric which are cut and trimmed. The art furniture after such process of creation will possess warm sensitivity and delicate oriental expressiveness and people will be inspired the work.
